The 3rd and 4th grade class has just completed our unit on Abraham Lincoln. As part of our celebration, each student will need to make a model of a log cabin. Students may use their imagination to build their house. It can be made of any of the following materials:
- popsicle sticks
- small tree branches
- chocolate wafer cookies
- long pretzel sticks
Hot glue or Elmer's glue may be used to secure the "logs". The house should have an A-frame roof. It should be no smaller than 6 inches in length. Students will need to place the house on a base such as card board or any sturdy material to help carry it. Feel free to decorate around the outside of the house with shrubs, trees or flowers. Please do not paint the house any bright colors; we would like it to look as authentic as possible. This project is due on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
Thank you in advance for your support in helping to educate your child.
Ms. K. Skinner
3rd and 4th Grade Teacher
